RV & Motorhome Auctions — J T’s Motors

I’m considering buying a 2021 Thor Motor Coach Four Winds 31W or a 2024 Brinkley RV Model Z 3100 through J T’s Motors, located at 125 N Ashby Ave, Chanute, KS 66720, and reachable at (620) 203-5255 or (620) 431-6599 through JTAutoBid.com, and I wanted to ask members who have actually purchased RVs through the platform about their experience with the warranty and transportation. I’d especially like to know how the warranty worked after purchase and how the RV was transported to the buyer.

I purchased a 2020 Winnebago View 24D through the platform.

The transportation went smoothly. The arrangement I received included the first 1,000 miles, and mileage beyond that was calculated at $0.70 per mile.

J T’s Motors handled the transportation using its available transport arrangements, and for a unit like the View, the carrier setup needs to take the RV’s dimensions and weight into account. Depending on the unit, equipment such as a lowboy/low-bed trailer, flatbed or specialized RV transport trailer can be used.

As for the warranty, I received the applicable warranty information with the vehicle documentation.

I purchased a 2021 Thor Motor Coach Four Winds 31W through the auction.

The warranty was one of the things I specifically checked before completing the purchase. If the vehicle still has an applicable manufacturer warranty, the manufacturer warranty information can be provided to the new owner, subject to the manufacturer’s transfer requirements.

In addition, the auction terms I received included 6 months or 10,000 miles of coverage.

My transportation was also straightforward. The first 1,000 miles were included, and the additional mileage was calculated at $0.70 per mile.

I purchased a 2019 Forest River Sunseeker 3010DS through J T’s Motors.

I was happy with how the transportation was handled. They arranged transportation based on the RV’s specifications, and the delivery went smoothly.

The terms for my purchase were 1,000 miles included, with $0.70 per mile after the included mileage.

For an RV that size, the transporter needs the exact length, width, height and weight. A lowboy/low-bed trailer or specialized flatbed transport trailer can be appropriate depending on the particular RV.

The warranty information was also provided as part of the purchase documentation, including the applicable 6-month / 10,000-mile coverage described in the auction terms.

I purchased a 2022 Coachmen Mirada 35ES through the platform.

My experience with transportation was good. The RV was transported without any problems, and the arrangement was based on the vehicle’s dimensions and weight.

The transportation terms were 1,000 miles included, followed by $0.70 per additional mile.

Regarding the warranty, the purchase included the stated 6-month / 10,000-mile coverage. If a vehicle has remaining manufacturer warranty coverage, I’d also check the manufacturer’s transfer requirements because that is separate from the auction-provided coverage.

That’s exactly the information I was looking for.

It’s helpful to hear from people who have actually purchased specific RVs rather than just general information about the process.

The 1,000 miles included / $0.70 per additional mile transportation arrangement makes sense, and I’ll make sure the exact dimensions and weight of the Four Winds are provided before transportation is arranged.

I’ll also ask for the warranty documentation and confirm whether any remaining manufacturer warranty transfers to me in addition to the 6-month / 10,000-mile coverage.

That’s what I would do.

Since I’ve already purchased the Four Winds myself, I’d recommend confirming everything against the specific VIN before finalizing the transaction.

For transportation, my experience was straightforward. The first 1,000 miles were included, with additional mileage at $0.70 per mile, and the carrier arrangement was based on the RV’s specifications.

For warranty, make sure you have the documentation showing exactly what is covered under the auction’s 6-month / 10,000-mile coverage and separately verify any manufacturer warranty that may still be active.

Same here. Since I purchased the Sunseeker 3010DS, I can say that transportation was not the difficult part of the transaction.

The key is giving them the correct RV specifications before loading. The transport equipment needs to match the size and weight of the motorhome.

My delivery went smoothly, and the 1,000-mile included transportation allowance with $0.70 per mile afterward was easy to understand.

I’d just make sure the final transportation distance and warranty terms are confirmed in writing for your specific RV before completing the purchase.
